In response to President-Elect Barack Obama’s Renew America Together initiative, Concord University in Athens, West Virginia is starting a new annual tradition of doing a community improvement project to honor the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
This year, Concord University is teaming up with Virginia Tech as students will be traveling together to Blacksburg, Virginia, to make improvements to a local daycare center. The “Daycare Facelift Project” puts student teams in a friendly competiton to make great improvements at 10 area daycare centers.
